Diamond Buzz....
Natural Industrial Diamonds, Synthetic Diamonds, Superabrasives, Micron powders, Rough,
and Cuttables are buzzwords nowadays. But 80 years ago the buzz was different! (or was it
not?)
In the city of Antwerp, Belgium, two independent diamond dealers and cleavers Isaac
Lieber and Zelman Solow joined forces and created Lieber & Solow. With a handshake and
a smile the deal was done and a tradition began.
Lieber & Solow quickly found a niche within the diamond business, marketing rough
for the gem industry and assorting industrial diamonds for diamond tool manufacturers. In
1940, when Lieber & Solow moved to New York, they had already established a reputation
as a source for a range of industrial goods and in their new home the company continued to
grow and diversify into a full line diamond and jewelry house.
Today a streamlined Lieber & Solow, with offices in the diamond
districts of New York and Antwerp, concentrates on providing customer service and
satisfaction in two main areas:
